Rochelle Pinto is the Head of Editorial Content for Vogue India. She joined Vogue from Tweak India, where she was the founding editor of the digital company launched by Twinkle Khanna, a celebrated author and columnist. As HoEC she is responsible for overseeing the vision and content across all platforms for the brand in India. She is a passionate editor with a comprehensive knowledge of the Indian market. Rochelle brings a digital-first approach to legacy publishing, having been an early adopter with over 11 years of experience. Over the years, she has honed skills across a variety of touch points, including end to end video production, events and commercial projects.
With over 15 years of experience across print and digital, Rochelle is a career journalist. She had an early start at age 11, when she became a child RJ on All India Radio in her home state of Goa. Fashion journalism was a serendipitous by-product of her joining the Hindustan Times, where she became the youngest columnist in its history. An early adopter of digital storytelling, she first joined the Condé Nast family as fashion editor for Vogue India, before becoming the digital editor of GQ India. She then took on the role of digital editor at ELLE India, where she was tasked with reinvigorating both the fashion magazine and its counterpart, ELLE Decor. She is a published author and radio personality and is passionate about engaging a new generation of journalists for Vogue India.
Rochelle has led teams and launched big ideas at the best media houses in the country. Her keen interest in education has led her to teach courses at institutions like Istituto Marangoni and St Paul’s Institute of Communication and Education. She is also deeply passionate about environmental causes especially beach clean-ups, education for women and children of single moms and allyship for the LGBTQIA+ community.
Originally from Goa, Pinto resides in Mumbai with her partner and rescue cat, Haiku.
